Da Vinci Quartzite Slab
Da Vinci is a Brazilian quartzite running green through beige and grey — a genuinely uncommon colour for quartzite, which more typically sits in the grey-beige-white range.
It suits kitchen benchtops, cladding, flooring and furniture, and offers a natural-stone alternative to the serpentinite-based green marbles like Verde Alpi, with quartzite’s added hardness.
Green in quartzite generally comes from chlorite or mica minerals present in the original sandstone — a different colouring mechanism to the serpentinite responsible for green in stones marketed as ‘green marble,’ even though the visual result can look superficially similar.
