Carmen Blue Granite Slab

Carmen Blue is a Brazilian granite running black and grey through a genuinely varied secondary palette — green, pink, red and white all appearing across the pattern, giving it a busier, more mineral-flecked look than the more uniform marbles in the range.

It suits kitchen benchtops, cladding, flooring and furniture, and is a harder-wearing option than marble for high-traffic surfaces, given granite’s greater resistance to scratching and etching.

Granite is an igneous rock, formed from cooled magma rather than the sedimentary process behind marble — its hardness and the fine, speckled mineral grain visible up close (quartz, feldspar and mica, mainly) are both a direct result of that different origin, which is why granite generally outperforms marble for benchtop durability.
