Arabescato Vagli Marble Slab

Arabescato Vagli comes from Vagli di Sotto in the Apuan Alps — the same mountain range and quarrying tradition as Carrara marble, a different valley to Arabescato Corchia and a visibly different result: a lighter grey-and-white base moving through charcoal, cream and silver tones, rather than Corchia’s harder black veining.

It suits kitchen benchtops, bathroom vanities, cladding, flooring and furniture, and sits alongside Arabescato Corchia and Carrara as one of three Apuan Alps marbles in the current range — worth comparing side by side if you’re deciding how much contrast you want between the veining and the base stone.

The difference in tone comes down to mineral impurities and the specific conditions each deposit formed under — even stone quarried a few valleys apart in the same range can read quite differently once it’s cut and honed, which is why Corchia and Vagli, despite sharing a name and a mountain range, don’t look alike.
