Giallo Siena Marble Slab

Giallo Siena takes its name from Siena, the Tuscan city whose surrounding hills have long been associated with warm, ochre-toned stone and earth. This slab runs gold and white through beige, brown and cream veining, polished to a full gloss rather than honed.

It suits kitchen benchtops, cladding, flooring and furniture, and reads considerably warmer than the grey-and-white marbles more common in the range — worth considering where a space needs some warmth rather than a cooler stone tone.

The gold colouring comes from iron oxide impurities in the original limestone, distributed unevenly through the rock, which is what gives the colour its movement rather than a flat, uniform tone.
