Travertino Cacio e Pepe Travertine Slab

Travertino Cacio e Pepe takes its name — Italian for ‘cheese and pepper’ — from the flecked, speckled look of the stone, running beige through subtle blue and brown movement, finished brushed rather than honed for extra texture.

It suits kitchen benchtops, cladding, flooring and furniture, and the brushed finish gives it a tactile, slightly matte surface that reads more rustic than the smoother travertine and marble elsewhere in the range.

A brushed finish is achieved with wire or abrasive brushes rather than a grinding wheel, which removes softer material unevenly and leaves the harder mineral veins standing slightly proud of the surface — a texture unique to this finishing method rather than something a honed or polished stone can replicate.
