Rosso Levanto Marble Slab
Rosso Levanto is a deep red Italian marble, quarried near the Ligurian coast, with black and white veining running through a saturated red base — one of the boldest, most historically recognised red marbles in the trade.
It suits kitchen benchtops, cladding, flooring and furniture, and works best as a genuine feature stone — a colour this saturated is more commonly used for a single striking surface than spread across an entire room.
Red marble gets its colour from a high concentration of iron oxide in the original limestone — Rosso Levanto has been used in decorative stonework since Roman times specifically because that iron concentration produces such a consistently deep, saturated red rather than the more muted rust tones seen in stones with less iron present.
