Portofino Terrazzo Slab
Portofino Terrazzo is an Italian terrazzo slab combining beige, grey and pink with flecks of brown, green and yellow aggregate suspended through a matt-finished binder.
It suits kitchen benchtops, flooring and walls, and offers a genuinely playful, multi-coloured surface for anyone after more visual interest than a single-tone stone provides.
Terrazzo originated in 16th-century Venice, where stonemasons set offcuts of marble and other aggregate into a binder to make use of quarry waste — a technique that has become a decorative style in its own right, valued today for the pattern rather than the economy that first produced it.
