Pierre de Bordeuax Marble Slab
Pierre de Bordeaux is a French marble — a genuinely uncommon origin in the range — running deep burgundy through beige and grey, available finished honed or with a leather texture.
It suits kitchen benchtops, cladding, flooring and furniture, and the burgundy tone puts it in similar territory to Calacatta Viola, though the base colour and French origin make it a distinct stone rather than an alternative to it.
France has a long, if less internationally known, marble quarrying tradition — Burgundy in particular has supplied stone for French architecture for centuries, geologically separate from the Italian and Iberian marble belts more commonly seen in the Australian trade.
