Camouflage Marble Slab

Camouflage earns its name from the pattern rather than the colour — beige and grey moving through cream and white in an irregular, broken-up way that reads more like a mottled texture than distinct veining.

It suits kitchen benchtops, cladding, flooring and furniture, and works well where a natural stone is wanted without the linear veining most marbles are known for.

Most marble veining forms in relatively continuous lines, tracing the mineral seams present when the original limestone recrystallised. A more broken, mottled pattern like this one typically indicates a more disrupted, fractured formation history — the stone moved or fractured repeatedly before the veining fully set, breaking up what might otherwise have been more linear.
